Find Your Flow
In Part 3 of our Happiness course we take a close look at the research of Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, who has discovered that people who achieve incredible things know how to get into a state he calls “flow,” which is a state of heightened consciousness, or super-productivity, fueled by positive emotions. Curious what flow looks like? Take a look at your kids as they lose themselves in a favorite activity. You can achieve flow every day if you know how to nurture your brain into this state, recognize it when you’re in it, and then give your mind the chance to move out of it as energy ebbs.
